My easy switch from the fireplace to the HVAC unit

It took them quite a bit to install it, but we finally did have a furnace

When I was a kid, my family had a fireplace as our sole source of heating in our home. Though I am thankful that I was raised in the middle of the country rather than the far north, it didn’t help that the fireplace made our heating needs at home a complete nightmare. It was always wonderful during the day with our fireplace. The house would be toasty, and we were all comfortable. Even now, I can’t say that anything beats the appearance and ambiance of a roaring fireplace. As it was closer to bedtime for us kids, we would slowly watch the fire begin to die down, and we knew that it was almost time for sleep. Throughout the night, we knew that the fire would die down, and we were probably going to be cold. We are talking about literally 6-7 hours of no heat at all in the house. It was always freezing. At about 5-6 AM, my father would have to wake up, walk into the cold living room, and get the fire started. You always knew that you would have to wait a while to get up because you didn’t want to walk into the living room while it was cold. We never had the furnace break down, and we never had to call an HVAC technician. But it got old. My dad finally decided one day that we were going to have a furnace. It took them quite a bit to install it, but we finally did have a furnace. It would run throughout the night, everyone could sleep in, and it was definitely easier to control the temperature in the room. It was absolutely wonderful. I am so thankful for our fancy HVAC equipment.
