Dog hair filled air vents

They even sprayed a disinfectant in the lines to help eliminate the smell

Renting a current condo regularly comes with some lessons to be l gained. You need to become usual with your current surroundings, neighbors, where to shop, and even the best route to take when commuting to work. I decided to move to my current site about several months ago and I have settled in pretty well. I did, but, start to notice a strange smell in the site when I turned on the heat as the cooler weather arrived. I programmed the temperature control 1 morning and headed off to work. When I walked in that evening, there was a weird smell. It didn’t smell like the normal smells that come with the heat first being turned on so I called the maintenance number that I had been given. I explained that the temperature in the condo was good, but, there was a weird smell. They didn’t seem to feel it was a big deal and said that they would have someone check it the following morning. I was stuck dealing with the smell the entire evening and I even tried putting dryer sheets over the air vents to mask the smell. The next morning I got a call from the repairman for the complex and she said that she had discovered the problem. The previous tenant had several cats and the air vents were filled at the bottom with animal hair and dander. They used a shop vac to clean them thoroughly and replaced the filter. They even sprayed a disinfectant in the lines to help eliminate the smell. I am happy it was a simple maintenance and when I get beach condo my site will be clean and fresh smelling again.
