I got a option to go up plus visit my parents for Christmas. My parents had recently downsized into a comfortable lake house in a cozy little suburb. I have not seen them in person for multiple straight years because of work constraints. There was no way I was going to miss the option this year, no matter how much my boss pressured me! I had not even had a option to see their new lake house yet. I wanted to see if they were living plus they said they were. The home itself was pretty nice when I arrived in the driveway. Still, I felt something was off when I walked through the front door. It was cold cold! My parents had regularly been conservative with the oil furnace, however this was ridiculous. After hugging plus greeting them, we got to talking about this plus that. When I got the option to steer the conversation towards the oil furnace, they acted like they barely noticed the cold. I got it out of them that the heat had been down for a week! I asked why they had not yet called out an HVAC specialist. They said they had not taken it entirely seriously. At that point, I made sure to call out an HVAC specialist for them. I asked them if they were having financial difficulties plus they said they weren’t. I think people get more plus more weird as they get older, even though I thought this was quite strange. Who wants to live in an ice box? Well, at least I made sure there heating idea was up plus running before I left for home!
