We were having a rough time with our new house.
We knew we had a lot of problems with the house and they needed fixed before we could move in.
One of those things we had to do was to have the heating and air conditioning system replaced. I was really upset that we hadn’t looked at the HVAC system a little closer. We wouldn’t be feeling so overwhelmed if we knew what we were getting into. The ductwork needed to be ripped out and totally replaced. We knew we needed to have a new furnace installed. The air vents were rusted and they needed to be replaced. I wasn’t sure what all was involved with removing the ductwork, but it wasn’t what we expected. They had to rip out the walls and even some of the ceiling to remove all of the ductwork. We called the HVAC company to see what we could do. They came in and investigated everything before giving us a decision. The decision wasn’t nearly as bad as we thought it would be. They told us they had a good HVAC system we could have installed. It was a ductless system and we wouldn’t need to rip out all of the ductwork. They would be able to cap off the ductwork in the walls and ceiling and just remove that which hung in the basement. The ductless HVAC system meant we could also have radiant heated flooring and we could rid of the air vents. We were truly loving this new HVAC set-up the HVAC technician was telling us about..
