I have bats in my house

He had left the flu open for about five minutes while he got his tools, but it was enough time for the bats to get into the house

The other day, my husband came upstairs and he told me that we had bats in the house. This kind of worried me because as much as I like bats, I don’t want them in my house. Bats belong outside eating bugs and not in my house dive bombing my head. I remember when I was a kid. We didn’t have air vents that went upstairs. All of the heating would go up the stairway and into the upstairs and the main part of the house would be frigid. Mom would put curtains up to the stairwell to keep the heat from going upstairs. The one day, we were heading upstairs to get some clothing out for the next day. Mom couldn’t figure out where the hole in the curtain had come from. When she reached out to touch the hole, it wasn’t a hole but a bat and it flew right into her hair. That was when I first realized I didn’t like bats and I knew I never wanted them in my home. When my husband told me there were bats in the basement, I knew we had to figure out where they were coming from. He started looking all over in an effort to trace how they were coming in. When he was cleaning the flu for the furnace, there must have been a bat or two in the chimney. He had left the flu open for about five minutes while he got his tools, but it was enough time for the bats to get into the house. He finished cleaning the flu and closed up the chimney. Now we can even use the furnace.
