I heard him yelp in the shower.

My husband usually takes his shower in the morning, but a couple days ago, he decided to take his shower at night. He was only in the bathroom for five minute when I heard a yelp. He came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel and he told me that there wasn’t any hot water. I kind of laughed to myself, because I had told him earlier that day that we didn’t have any hot water. Before I had a chance to remind him, he remembered the conversation. Then he remembered the reason he had gone to the basement a couple of hours ago. He had been sitting at his game station trying to remember what he forgot when he should have just gone downstairs and checked our boiler. Our boiler is our heating system It supplies that hot water that brings heat into the home. It also supplies us with hot water. He went back into the bathroom and sponged off the rest of his body and washed the soap out of his hair. He told me that he had to go to the supply house the next day to get a part for our boiler. I knew that before he went to bed the next night, the water heater would be fixed and he would be able to get a hot shower. It took him two more trips to the store to be able to get all the parts to fix the boiler system. I was wondering if he really was going to have hot water for his shower, but I told him if he didn’t get a shower, he wasn’t going to get beneath my clean sheets either.
