Have you ever been told that old sentiment, keep your passions and job separate? Some people swear by the idea of choosing your job based off of what you prefer doing in your spare time, however other swear that you should never choose your living based off of the type of things that you prefer doing for yourself, I can see both points of view.
On a single hand, it would be good to do something you prefer all afternoon all day long.
On the other hand, if you put stress on your preferred activities, they truly aren’t so fun anymore, however personally, I know that I ascribe to the second way of thinking. In our afternoon today work, I am a professional Heating and Cooling professional. I spend most of my time just going from random residential homes to greater commercial outlets, professionally maintaining and replacing their air quality appliances. I am usually just talking to customers and discussing respected Heating and A/C maintenance plans. I am spending most of our afternoons finally working with our hands, increasing out air filters, cleaning extensive air ducts, and installing brand-new temperature controls for them. I had a conversation all about Energy Efficiency and best practices for indoor energy usage all day and all night long, but when I get home, I don’t worry about our Heating and A/C idea at all. I abuse the hell out of our temperature control and rarely ever take care of our heating and cooling appliances. I can’t recall the last time I change our own air filter. Every few years, I replace the entire air handling idea with a brand modern and replaced one. I don’t know what I can say, I could be a better Heating and A/C owner, even though I try to keep our job and personal life totally separate.
