Portable air conditioner is ideal solution for me

Living in the northeastern part of the country, the winter weather tends to hang around for six to eight months.

We wait a long time for blue skies, sunshine and warm temperatures.

After dealing with the cold, keeping the house sealed shut and paying such high energy bills, I’m anxious to open the windows. I like to air out the house and breathe some fresh air. I am relieved to shut off the furnace and avoid the drain on my budget. The last thing I want to do is start up a central cooling system. Our summer weather can sometimes be quite hot and humid, but it doesn’t last long. A whole-house air conditioner is simply too big of an expense for such a brief demand. I’ve found that window air conditioners are the perfect solution. Modern cooling units are exceptionally lightweight, compact and reasonably priced. I was able to purchase a top-of-the-line model for a little over a hundred dollars. I ordered the air conditioner through the internet and had it shipped to my door. The installation was simple and required nothing more than a screwdriver and twenty minutes of effort. I then set the air conditioner into the window, plugged it in and turned it on. I was impressed by the powerful cooling of such a small piece of equipment. That little air conditioner brought the temperature down to a comfortable level in a matter of minutes. I like that it circulates and filters the air, keeping the room feeling fresh. The air conditioner is fairly quiet but makes just enough noise to drown out exterior traffic sounds, barking dogs and early morning birds. I sleep so much better with it running. The operation of it is very convenient. I keep a cordless remote right next to my bed and don’t need to get up to make adjustments to temperature or fan speed.
