The condo needs a new heat system

This old condo I live in was built in the 70’s and it seems like the heat system is as old as the building.

My spouse plus I purchased this condo a few weeks ago, but we knew about the heating system beforehand.

The previous owner confessed that there were some troubles and my spouse plus I knew that we’d need to purchase a new heat system before the cold winter months arrived. In September of this year, both of us made an appointment to speak with a heating contractor. We went over the old heating system plus all the upgrades for heating the condo. Our heating contractor advised us to keep using gas as a fuel source to heat our home. My spouse plus I were contemplating adjusting to electric heat, so both of us were surprised by the contractors recommendation. The heating contractor told us that he would update our heating system easily. When we looked at the gas heating systems online, we knew the price would be discounted with the contractor badge. My spouse plus I decided to select a gas heating system as our new heating equipment. Both of us selected a gas heating system with a 99% AFUE rating, because our old heat system was too expensive to run plus terribly inefficient. The new heat system uses a lot of its energy to form heat, which is the meaning of an AFUE rating. Our new heat system will use 99% of its energy for warmth. This has easily helped lower our electric bills each month and the new heat system works efficiently plus costs less to run. Our entire condo stays sizzling for a fraction of the price.
