I married the love of my life, but his critter obsession has our condo overrun with pets both massive & tiny.
When every one of us met, I had a small pug named Charlie while he had 2 british shorthair cats, a male called Oscar & his friendly sibling named Alex.
It was a manageable dynamic with our critters at that stage, & I really enjoyed having cats around after being mostly a pet man our whole life. On the other side, this was just the start trickle of a flood that had yet to come, before long he was talking about getting a puppy. After every one of us got a german shepard puppy, he then highly suggested that every one of us get a bird. In a matter of just three years every one of us had amassed a collection of critters that included our 2 cats & 2 pets, numerous parakeets, a small freshwater fish tank, a rabbit, & a small iguana. As you would expect, our condo has a strong smell the minute you take a step inside, and i think our husband has become noseblind to it, because he seems confused whenever I approach the topic. I ended up making a considerable improvement on the air quality in our condo by buying smell control filters for our central a/c. They have a layer of activated charcoal crystals along one side of the filter that trap & absorb smell molecules as they pass directly through the filter inside the air conditioner. Honestly, every one of us has so many pets that I would never expect one of these filters to remove every smell, but there is a 60-70% reduction after a few evenings of having one installed. That is a massive improvement in our mind.
