Some mold growth problems

Last Monday, I invited my bestie over to our lake house for the first time.  Andy and I have been dating for a couple of weeks; I was anxious to make him dinner as well as spend some time cuddled up on the couch with an old black and white movie I found in the basement.  Since it was the middle of January, the outside weather is extremely freezing as well as snowy. That night, the temperature dropped down to eleven degrees below zero. We ended up with eighteen inches of snow altogether.  To make sure the lake house was comfortable, I raised the temperature control setting higher. We had barely sat down to our appetizers when the oil furnace started making this horrible clunking sound. I mentioned calling a licensed HVAC repair guy, but Andy assured me he could handle the problem.  I provided him with a set of tools and he as well as I headed to the basement. Andy proceeded to to tear the oil furnace completely apart. There were random parts scattered all over the place, making the basement more filthy than it already had been. I started to doubt his knowledge. An hour later, when he asked for an owner’s manual, I knew I was in trouble.  I eventually searched online for the gas furnace as well as started to work with Andy, just hoping every one of us could get the gas furnace put back together. Without any source of heat, the lake house was getting super freezing as well as uncomfortable. Andy finally admitted that he had no clue what he was doing. I found it kind that he’d hoped to impress me.  I ended up calling professional HVAC man for emergency service; we found out the problem was only a congested air filter.
