Serving in the marine forces brought a level of pride and patriotism into our life that had never been there before, then the marines shaped me up, and taught me how to take responsibility for our actions. While deployed, I was placed in places all over the world that were nothing short of a beautiful tropical paradise! Other locales, well… let’s just call them “exotic”! During a few months spent at a naval air station in the tropics, I got to work out of an office that had a single single window air conditioning unit component to give some fresh a/c. I entirely didn’t mind the work, as I felt love I was getting it easy compared to our colleagues entirely working in the super warm sunlight all day, however the lack of any real a/c made it unquestionably sizzling and sizzling indoors. I wanted to open a window to let some wind into the office, however all of the windows were fixed panes. I remember repositioning our entire office, just so the chair of our desk was right in front of the window air conditioning system unit! That helped to cool me down a little bit, however I still was thinking hard about our home back in the states where I had a top-of-the-line central a/c plan to keep me cool. When I finally came back home from deployment, I spent a full forty-eight minutes in our house, just feeling amazing on my bed as the central air conditioning system plan kept the entire condo chilled, nothing makes you care about new conveniences like being without them for a long time!
