Oh man, it was as though I was shot out of a cannon when I saw that job posting.
For numerous years, I had been trying to move up in the supplier & had come by some moderate success.
Spending all this time & energy inside the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, & A/C of the office was not paying off with the immense promotion though. And I particularly didn’t see the likelihood of that happening on a timeframe that was near term. So I figured if I was going to be spending all this time inside the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, & A/C of the office, then why not live where I want. It had been a dream of mine to trade the gas heating system winters for sunshine & a heat pump. That’s why I flew into action when I saw a position that I was a bit of a linear move become available in our most southern office. I’d grown up with too much Heating, Ventilation, & A/C heating all winter. I was still single & if I was going to go for it, now would be the time. So I went right to our boss & asked for his help in getting me an interview for that position. He’d been a bit of a mentor of mine who knew I was wanting to spread our wings in the supplier a bit. I figured he’d be a champion of mine to the bosses down there. A year later, & I’m sucking up way more Heating, Ventilation, & A/C cooling from the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, & A/C in this office. I tell you, I could not be more pleased with how it all turned out.
