After moving back home from my overseas posting, it took time to adjust back. I had gotten used to a different culture and people. Instead of living with the other expatriates in a section of the city, I had lived with the locals. I made friends and we were all so tearful when I had to return home for a new posting. I stayed with my sister for a month while looking into purchasing a new home in the area. The house I got was about a mile from her house so I could be close by since she is my only family. Part of the renovations I wanted to do in the house was adding a new heating system. The HVAC technician that I hired to inspect the heating and AC unit stated that the heating unit had to be replaced. The area was great but it got some frigid weather each winter so having an excellent heating system was top priority. I had looked into different heating systems but was still confused about which one to buy. Again I consulted the HVAC technician and she was a big help. She taught me about heat pumps, radiant floor heating and furnace systems. After much deliberation I chose to go with floor heating since it was eco-friendly and efficient in keeping the whole house comfortable. Installing the radiant flooring wasn’t an easy job since the HVAC crew had to remove my flooring for the installation. For a moment I was worried about the outcome but the HVAC technician assured me the floor would be back in place. After the job, I was so happy she had kept her word and the house felt amazing.
