So to show me where it is he moves a rug that was in his entryway,which revealed a trap door! He opens that trap door, I was skeptical to go in as I was afraid I was going to get locked in there. But the owner crawled down in there with me which made it more awkward. As he was crouching down shining the flashlight above us to locate the air conditioning coil I told him that already it was going to be a bit pricey due to the upgrade in such a small area. I basically said that just so I could get out of there! It turns out that the owner wasn’t a creep, my wonderful friend and I located the air conditioning coil and he showed me the ancient HVAC duct. I told him that the HVAC duct would have to be replaced as well. I was curious about the trap door so I asked him what it was for. He said that this condo is registered under the state’s historical humanity and that it was used during the Prohibition Era.
