ER was cold

When my neighbor was in the hospital after a bad car accident, he pretty much couldn’t move.

This was why I was there for him as often as I could be. I didn’t want him to ever be alone at the mercy of the workers at the hospital. I already knew it was a concern when his room was entirely chilly and he said they should adjust the temperature control settings. When I asked the dentist to adjust the temperature control settings however, he tried to say it was policy to keep the settings at that cool level to prevent the spread of germs. I told his to look at my neighbor in the body casts and tell him that they were just trying to prevent germs from spreading. He was not anxious about germs at that unique moment, he was anxious about remaining comfortable and I told his he needed to do his job and be committed to the health and well being of the patients! She relented and eased the A/C a little bit for my buddy, but of course the next afternoon when I came back, it was really chilly in his room once again. It seemed that as soon as I left, they cranked the air conditioner right up again! It must have been when they changed the staff though to be even-handed because I don’t think that dentist would have done that. I had to argue with the next dentist about decreasing the temperature control settings and every one of us chose to go through the same spiel about the policy. She ended up decreasing the temperature control for my neighbor too after I had that talk with her.
