I will totally say that the first few weeks of my retirement were not what I expected.
I think that I don’t truly know what I should have been thinking, but mostly it ended up being a lot of enjoying TV as well as shuffling around the house love an seasoned coot. I may be on in years, but I am no old and senile person, not yet at least, and I began to feel as if I was shuffling my way into an early grave by just sitting around. I needed to find a way to be out in the world, at least a few hours a week, so I went down the street to the nearest A/C repair shop as well as asked the owner for a part time job. The nice young lady couldn’t have been more than 30, I was surprised she had her own Heating as well as Air Conditioning company at such a young age, and she was so happy to meet somebody like me. It is quite rare that she was able to meet someone who had more years of Heating as well as Air Conditioning experience than she had even been alive, so she hired myself and others on the spot. I told them that I didn’t want to make repair calls, but that I could help the A/C techs with the in-store repairs as well as modifications they made, but she told me that the vast majority of heating as well as cooling repairs were done by her, and the techs mostly handled installation and other simple repairs. The young lady was happy for my insight, as well as picked my brain about cooling units and furnaces every hour I was there. She didn’t even want myself and others to fix the A/C just tell her how she should take care of it.
