We upgraded our ancient heat system

The furnace now uses 99% of its energy for heating our house

The outdated home I just purchased was built in the early 80’s. Apparently, the furnace is just as outdated as the house. My fiance & I bought this place together about four weeks ago, even though we knew the furnace would cause a problem. The previous homeowners disclosed the problems. My fiance & I knew that we’d need to purchase an up-to-date furnace before the first chilly draft came along. In September of this year, the two of us made an appointment to meet with a heating business. The two of us discussed the outdated furnace along with the options we had for heating our house. The heating business commanded that we consider using gas as a fuel source for our heat. My fiance & I were thinking about switching to electric heat, so we were surprised by the professional’s suggestion. The heating professional told us that he would update our furnace for a fraction of the price. The two of us looked at numerous furnaces online, so we knew the prices already. The heating specialist could get us a better deal with his business account. My fiance & I ended up choosing a gas furnace as our up-to-date heating equipment with a 99% AFUE rating. Our outdated furnace was luxurious to run & terribly inefficient. Our up-to-date furnace was supposed to use most of its energy to create the heat, which is the meaning of an AFUE rating. The furnace now uses 99% of its energy for heating our house. This has entirely helped lower our utility bills each week. The up-to-date furnace now works great & costs a lot less to run. Our whole home stays moderate for a fraction of the price.
