Adding Heating, Ventilation and AC to the shed

I added a cat flap to 1 of the windows.

I insulated our backyard lanai and it is great. The previous homeowner absolutely just connected a lanai onto the back of the house. They laid down cement, put screened windows and a door on it and finished. It has no heating and cooling and isn’t particularly airtight. I want to make the space lievable. Since the lanai is connected to the back of the house, I do have access to electricity. What I did was put down electric heated mats to be our furnace. I then laid a thin rug over top of them. For cooling I mounted a ductless A/C unit to run in the summertime. I had to replace the windows with 1s that had glass and made sure they were properly insulated. I needed a new door that didn’t let in air as well. It was quite costly doing all this work. I had to hire a contractor, electrician and a Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor to get it working. Now I have a USble space. I set up a home office table and put some chairs around it. I have a superb view of our lake and can particularly eat and like it there. I have a stray cat that I was distraught about while I was in the Winter time season. I added a cat flap to 1 of the windows. Now she can come in and sit on the heated floor. I had a food and water bowl for him, a scratch post and a litter box. She hangs out in the lanai almost more than I do. I suppose that was money well spent.
