Paying energy bill for the neighbors

I wouldn’t consider myself to be an amazing person.

I would say that I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life and I have many things that I am ashamed of.

However, I know that this is not an unusual condition as a human being. In fact, the most of us are an equal balance of good and bad, depending on circumstances and developments in life. That being said, I do try to be a good human as much as possible. That’s why I was more than happy to sneakily steal my neighbor’s mail last week. You see, for the past several months my neighbor has been worried about her heating, cooling, and air quality control system. Specifically, she has been worried about using the indoor air handling devices as much as necessary because her energy bill has been extremely high. She was negatively affected by the pandemic and I know that she has been struggling to keep her kids comfortable as they approach school remotely. Because of these reasons, her heating, cooling, and air quality control system has been utilized more often than normal. It doesn’t help that our outdoor climate has been absolutely brutal for the past few months, either, with alternating hot and cold temperatures. All of these factors combined have put a lot of extra stress on my neighbor and her heating and cooling system. That’s why I decided I would try to help with her energy bill last month. I waited until I received my energy bill in the mail, and then I intercepted hers. I happily paid the entire utility bill for her, without saying a word. My neighbor will probably never know why she got free HVAC that one month in 2020.
