Dad thinks I should have been an HVAC repairman, not a computer geek

Growing up as the youngest of four boys I was constantly getting picked on.

My older brothers were great and it was never mean or malicious, but it got old after a few years.

By the time that I was in highschool, I had already become the black sheep in my family due to my love for technology and computers. This was so strange at the time because I was born into a very labor intensive and manly family. My father and my grandfather have owned an HVAC heating and cooling business for over thirty five years, and all of my brothers have gone the HVAC path as well, rather than other professions. I was also highly encouraged to join the family HVAC business all of my life, but I stuck with my guns and majored in computer science a a very prestigious college. I ended up being pretty good at it, and I even ended up opening an office in town specializing in computers a few years after college. The office is three stories, and there are nearly one hundred employees working there during the week. Now that my dads HVAC company has even more business putting in new a/c systems along with repairing them in the new office, I think that they all feel much better with me choosing this path rather than the standard one! Although if I ever ended up working with a different hVAC company in town, I think that they “pride” they have for me being a successful businessman would fade away as quickly as it appeared.
